College Colors Day: Mason Families Show Your Spirit!

College Colors Day is nationally organized by The Collegiate Licensing Company and was first celebrated in 2005. College Colors day always falls on the Friday before Labor Day, and seeks to celebrate and promote the spirit that makes college traditions great by encouraging students, faculty/staff, alumni and fans to wear apparel of their favorite college throughout the day on Friday, September 4, 2015.

This day also kicks off Spirit Fridays at Mason where the Mason community is encouraged to wear Mason gear every Friday to show their Mason spirit and pride. As Mason families, we invite you to join in on the fun of College Colors Day this Friday and on Spirit Fridays throughout the semester!

How to Participate:

  • Wear your Green and Gold on September 4 wherever you are!
  • Visit http://collegecolorsday.com to participate in the College Colors Challenge for chances to win the prizes.  The Challenge is social media driven (Instagram, Twitter and via the College Colors App).  In August, two sets of three challenges will be posted two weeks apart.  Beginning in September one set of three challenges will be posted each month.  Prizes will range from gift cards to tickets to the College Football Playoff National Championship.
  • Enjoy one or more of the campus or local business promotions on College Colors Day. Watch social media and MasonAds screens throughout campus for specific discounts.
  • Show up on the North Plaza between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on September 4 for photos, give-aways and fun!

To get ready for the big day, gear up and follow us on Facebook or Twitter  for other opportunities to engage in the fun and excitement of the Green and Gold. Mason Nation, wear your colors on Friday, September 4!
