Now that we have wrapped up the spring semester and Commencement celebrations, we are gearing up for this year’s Family Weekend, which will take place November 9-11, 2018!
Family Weekend is a long-standing tradition here at Mason, and it is a time for families to come back to campus and experience the same spirit that our students enjoy throughout the year. By participating in this weekend of fun-filled events, you can gain a glimpse into your student’s life at Mason, its academic excellence, and the energy of our vibrant campus.
Weekend Highlights
This year’s schedule of events is filled with opportunities to experience Mason, the Fairfax community, and the destinations in the greater D.C. area. Our schedule features a 5K race, faculty speakers, student performances, and so much more! We will continue adding events to the schedule throughout the summer, so we encourage you to like George Mason Family Programs on Facebook to see event updates.
Family of the Year Award
Could your family be our next Family of the Year? Be on the lookout for more information about how your student can nominate your family for the Alan and Sally Merten Family of the Year Award, which will be presented during Family Weekend.
Registration opens June 15
Registration will open on June 15 at masonfamilyevents.gmu.edu and will remain open until October 28 at 11:59 p.m. Register early and reserve your spot for some of our more popular events that will reach capacity quickly.
