Mason Families

Parent and Family Council Applications are open!

The Parent and Family Council was established to provide opportunities for parents and families to become actively engaged, informed members of the Mason community by serving as ambassadors for the university, as well as prospective and current families. Members of this group meet once per semester and advise New Student and Family Programs on important issues facing families at Mason.

Applications to join the Council are now open and will close on Wednesday, Nov. 20.  Apply at masonfamily.gmu.edu/parent-and-family-council. There will be an interest meeting during Family Weekend on Saturday, November 9th from 10-11 a.m. in the Johnson Center, Gold Room for those who want to learn more.  Interviews will be held in December and candidates will be notified in late December/early January.

More information about the council, expectations, time commitment, and the application are available at masonfamily.gmu.edu/parent-and-family-council/membership-information.
