We are only a week and a few days away from Sibs & Kids Weekend 2019, and we can’t wait to welcome our Mason students, faculty, staff and their guests to campus for a weekend full of fun, interactive events designed to highlight life at Mason!
If your Mason student does not live on campus or if their guest is younger than 13, they are not permitted to stay overnight on campus during Sibs & Kids Weekend. To arrange overnight accommodations, visit Courtyard Fairfax Fair Oaks to book a room at a discounted rate.
There are a few items Sibs & Kids Weekend participants should pack. Participants should pack a swimsuit and towel if they plan to participate in pool games at the Recreation pool in the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Also, if they are staying overnight in the residence hall, Mason siblings and kids should pack a sleeping bag, pillow, comfortable clothing, toiletries, medications, extra money for snacks if needed (e.g. at vending machines) and any other necessities for an overnight stay.
Your student and their guest will receive an email with important information about parking and check-in. For a full schedule of events, visit masonfamilyevents.gmu.edu/skw19-weekend-schedule and download our mobile schedule at sibskidsweekend.sched.com.
If your student and their guest(s) are interested in attending Sibs & Kids Weekend please register online by the Monday, April 22.
Connect with us on Facebook at @MasonFamilyAssociation throughout the weekend using the hashtag #MasonSibsKids19. Encourage your student to let us know they are attending by marking ‘Going’ on our Sibs & Kids Weekend Facebook event!
Questions? Call (703) 993-2475 or email families@gmu.edu. We look forward to welcoming our Mason sibs and kids to campus next week!
