Before you know it, your Mason student will be joining you all for winter break. Winter break will run from December 19 – January 20 for students. The campus will be closed from December 24 – January 3. Below is a breakdown of the residence halls, dining, recreation, student centers, and other office closings during winter break.
2019 Winter Break Building Closings
RESIDENCE HALLS
Dec. 19-Jan. 19: All freshmen buildings with the exception of Taylor, Roosevelt, and Jackson are closed. Visit housing.gmu.edu/housing-options/hall-closings for the complete list of closed and open buildings.
*Mason Global Center and Shenandoah Desks will be open 24 hours a day during the break. Rappahannock Desk will close when the university closes. Visit housing.gmu.edu/housing-options/desk-operations for more information.
DINING

FITNESS CENTERS
Dec. 17-Jan. 20: Skyline is closed
Dec. 24-26 & Dec. 31-Jan. 1: Aquatic and Fitness Center is closed
Dec. 23-26 & Dec. 31-Jan. 1: Recreation Athletic Complex is closed

STUDENT CENTERS & OTHER OFFICE CLOSINGS
Dec. 9-Jan. 20: Fairfax clinic begins winter break hours. Arlington and SciTech clinics closed for winter break. Visit shs.gmu.edu/locations/#closings for hours of operations.
Dec. 14-Jan. 20: All student centers (Johnson Center, Student Union I, and the Hub) begin winter hours. Visit studentcenters.gmu.edu/hours for hours of operation.
Dec. 21-Jan. 4: All student centers (Johnson Center, Student Union I, and the Hub) are closed. Normal hours will resume on January 6th.
