Off-Campus Spotlight: Good Neighbor Week

Good Neighbor Week is a series of events to help on- and off- campus students find housing, connect with roommates, and gather tips and resources to be great neighbors in the community. If your student plans to transition to an off-campus residence, or is looking for potential roommates, encourage them to attend any or all of the following events:

Good Neighbor Movie Night
Tuesday, February 28, 5:30pm
Johnson Center Cinema
Is your student planning to move off-campus in the future? If so, encourage them to join campus and community partners to learn how to be a good neighbor and gain more information about off-campus housing options. Food and information will be available starting at 5:30pm, followed by a showing of “Neighbors” at 6:30pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Off-Campus Housing Fair
Wednesday, March 1, 11:00am-2:00pm
Johnson Center, Dewberry Lobby
If your student is looking for off-campus housing options or has questions about budgeting and leasing, then encourage them to attend the Off-Campus Housing Fair. Representatives from off-campus communities will be present to provide information about transitioning to an off-campus residence. This event is free and open to the public.

Off-Campus Roommate Mixer
Thursday, March 2, 3:00pm-5:00pm
SUB 1, Patriot’s Lounge
On- and off- campus students are invited to mix and mingle with other Mason students and alumni to connect with potential roommates for the next academic year. University Career Services and Off-Campus Student Services will also be present to provide information, giveaways, and food!
